About Me
Hello, my name is Iesha-(iy-Y-SHaa).
Born in Utah Salt Lake City, raised Portland Maine, but currently reside in Boston Massachusetts. Certified level 1-3 Herbalist. Mother of two boys, one teenager and a toddler. Owner and founder of Optimom Wellness, a small holistic business focused providing health education through herbal products like sea moss, yoni steams and medicinal herbal teas.
Raised by my strong Dominican mother, along with 3 brothers and one sister. I was and still am a natural care taker for my family but also a curious black sheep who questioned everything, and went against the gain often. I grew up seeing the women in my family using herbs in many different ways to support anyone feeling ill or needing to cleanse their space or energy. From soothing pains, colds, cooking, cleaning, protection, to bathing there was always an herbal remedy. However I noticed there was a gap between the ritual and knowledge behind all of the intuitive traditions I grew up seeing. This sparked more curiosity for me to explore more.
My story is like most herbalist, where healing started from with in. Through personal experience in the healthcare system and a serious medical scare, i learned how to dive deep within myself and prioritize a natural healing lifestyle where I now share my knowledge and experience to support and help my community.
